Personality: stern, cool headed, keeps to himself, thirst for magic knowledge, a scholar in history and magic spells, a loner but kind to others, merciful to innocent and meek while heartless to foes. Loyal to friends and Princesses Celestia and Twilight Sparkle, to whom he's slightly smitten toward secretly and is devotedly loyal to. Doesn't like crowds and large parties but like small gatherings with friends. He liked extended walks in Canterlot Gardens, and chills by sparring, meditating, practicing spells. Ultimately he's determined to become a powerful Mage and use that strength to protect Canterlot and it's denizens, and serve the throne of Canterlot

Years after the revival of the Crystal Empire under the rule of Cadence and Shining Armor, a golden age sparked in Equestria.

Twilight Sparkle, eventually moved back to Canterlot, accepting her responsibility as a Princess.

While Celestia rules Equestria as a whole, Twilight looks to the affairs of both Canterlot and her adopted home town of Ponyville.

Determined to bring a new age of magic to Equestria, Twilight reorganized Celestia's Magic School Of Gifted Unicorns, redubbing it the Magic Academy in Canterlot, inviting magic masters and wizards from all over Equestria to become teachers and instructors. The Academy is no longer limited to gifted unicorns, the school allows entry to Unicorns of all magic levels to have a chance to develop their magical abilities. The gifted ponies could have a chance to become teachers and professors themselves or join the Magic Corps, another organization founded by Twilight.

The Magic Corps is equivalent to the Royal Pony Guardsman, enforcers of the law and guardians of Equestria who's loyalty is to the Princess they serve.

It's to replace Shining Armor and Cadence who's magic was formerly relied on being Canterlot's best line of defense in times of trouble, for when they moved to the Crystal Empire to rule it. Now the Magic Corps compensate from that lost asset, as Equestria's new magical elite and guardians of peace and justice.

The elite and commanding officers in the Corps are called Magic Masters, which some serve as magic instructors taking some corpsman as apprentices. Commanding the whole corps who reports directly to Princess Twilight is the Captain. Whom is currently Malgus Moonswirl.

In Canterlot there are two Captains, the Captain of Royal Guard and the Captain of Magic Corps

Vlad Spellweaver, came from a long line of wizards. In Equestria's ancient age of magic, at least one of his ancestor's Donavan Spellweaver was a renowned Wizard who faithfully served the throne of Canterlot.

Generations since Donavan, the Spellweavers became either magic instructors in Celestia's School of Gifted Unicorns or Unicorn Royal Guardsman.

After graduating from the School, Vlad became a Royal Guardsman, where he heard of Celestia's apprentice, Twilight.

While his duties gave him lack of opportunity to meet her directly, he observe her when she's at the Royal Library or training with Celestia when he makes his rounds.

Impressed with the young pony's magic strength, it gave him inspiration to continue his magic training.

He was saddened when Twilight left for Ponyville, wanting to meet and hang out with her.

He continued his training after she left.

When she finally returned for the Royal Wedding, he was overjoyed and wanted to finally meet her. But his duties kept him busy and finally Queen Chrysalis' invasion kept him busy as well. By the time he was available, she left yet again.

Finally when she returned to Canterlot as an Alicorn Princess, Vlad was one of the first to swear fealty to her.

When she moved back to Canterlot as an active Princess, he volunteered to be amongst her Own Royal Guard. It was then she finally noticed him as a colleague and a unicorn gifted in Swordsponyship and magic, acknowledging his skill.

He became one of the first members of the Magic Corps, under the tutelage of Wizard Master Darken Swirlmoon, a former wandering wizard that joined Corps as an elite member and instructor.


Now troubled times are approaching, thereby darkening the days of Equestria's Golden Age.


In the Crystal Empire, dissent rises, as people called for a democracy, resenting the rule of Cadence and Shining Armor, whom weren't natural born citizens to begin with, thus being viewed as puppet rulers of Canterlot. Wanting the Crystal Empire for the Crystal Empire the growing political group, who call themselves the Crystal Democracy, sparked dissent to rebel against a throne that has ties to the foreign city of Canterlot.

In addition, since King Sombra's brief return, a cult of Dark Wizard Ponies, who calls themselves the Dark Hoof, worshipping Sombra as rightful ruler of the Crystal Empire gained power and membership. They teach Dark Magic and see magic able Unicorns as the superior being and deserves to rule and bring order to Equestria.

Some believed they are behind the creation of the Crystal Democracy, to take power away from Shining Armor and Cadence for themselves, and rebuild Sombra's dark Empire and perhaps even revive him.

However whatever the reason, the insurgency of the Crystal Democracy sparked similar movements across Equestria, as the call for democracy inspired some other Pony Towns under Celestia's dominion; for the creation of a Equestrian Republic free from Celestia's Monarchy. Giving all Ponies an equal voice in government.

It wasn't that Celestia became a tyrant, in fact many supporters of the Movement have no ill will toward her. It's simply the principle of the thing, and the Crystal Democracy's call for independence and self rule, inspired free thinking ponies of this new age to do the same.

Celestia was divided over the issue. While she would willingly abdicate and allow her beloved subjects to have their freedom and rule them, she senses Sombra's hand influencing the just cries of freedom. Ultimately she refused to abdicate, believing it's the right thing to do.

This decision caused Canterlot, Ponyville, and some other Pony Towns that are long Celestia loyal towns to support and rally behind her decision.

Surprisingly the leader of this movement was Luna herself, who renounced her title as Princess and called for Ponies to join her movement.

Thus Equestria became divided between those loyal to Celestia's monarchy and the increasing number of ponies who rally behind a mysteriously changed Luna and her Equestrian Republic movement and the Crystal Democracy. And somewhere along the line the mysterious Dark Hoof grows ever stronger, feeding off of the discord and strife.

Vlad prepares to go on a mission to the borders of the Crystal Empire to investigate a possible meeting place of the Dark Hoof, which is rumored to be meeting with members of the Crystal Democracy.

Vlad hopes to capture the member and interrogate him to gain more intel on the Dark Hoof, perhaps they know something he could exploit to stop the civil war before it begins.

He will do his part to serve Equrstria and preserve the peace and tranquility he loves and for the Princess he has his undying loyalty to.

If he fails, War will truly come to Equrstria.
